The Native American Coalition of Tulsa (NACT) Head Start program
NACT Head Start is a non profit 501c(3) organization funded through federal grants and community donations for over 25 years.
We service over 174 low-income children ages 3 to 5 and their families each school year by providing early childhood education, health and dental screenings, physicals, immunizations, speech and behavioral therapy, and locating resources such as food, clothing, and housing assistance.
Our Parent Involvement Manager also works with parents to help them receive GED’s and college educations. We host parent and child literacy events and have Parent meetings that offer trainings in topics from parenting skills to financial management. Many teachers have Bachelors degrees and have completed their state certifications.
All classrooms maintain a minimum of 2 teaching staff that are highly qualified. NACT is a 3 Star Program rated by DHS. Head Start services are free.
